• Temperature Ratings:
  • Classification Temperature: Standard grades are rated up to 1260C (2300F). High-zirconia grades can reach up to 1430C (2600F).
  • Continuous Working Temperature: Generally recommended for use up to 1050C (1922F).
  • Melting Point: Approximately 1750C - 1780C.
• Physical Properties:
  • Thickness: Standard rolls range from 0.5 mm to 12 mm. Common thicknesses include 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, and 10mm.
  • Density: Typically ranges between 180 kg/m and 320 kg/m. Higher density options (e.g., 200250 kg/m) offer better mechanical strength.
  • Tensile Strength: Often exceeds 0.4 MPa, providing high tear resistance and flexibility.
• Thermal & Chemical Performance:
• Thermal Conductivity: Very low, typically around 0.09 W/mK at 600C.
• Linear Shrinkage: Usually less than 3.5% after 24 hours at 1100C.
• Chemical Resistance: Highly resistant to most chemicals, water, and fire. It is non-wetted by most molten non-ferrous metals. 
  Key Features & Applications
  • Features: Asbestos-free, excellent electrical insulation (high dielectric strength), easy to cut with a knife or scissors, and highly resilient to thermal shock.
  • Applications:
    • Industrial: Furnace and kiln linings, expansion joint seals, and ladle backup insulation.
    • Automotive/Aerospace: Thermal barriers for silencers, exhaust systems, and heat shields.
    • Specialized: Glass fusing (prevents glass from sticking), gaskets for stoves, and high-temperature filtration
